This small town that was a spot on the map hardly anyone has heard of until the pipeline came through. I'm not sure how the people of Cotulla feel about us being here but the economy here has definitely changed. This small little town is now full of outsider's which has caused a major cost of living increase. Motels went from 30 to 40 a night to 80 to 2000 a month. There are campers every where in every space available. Hotels and restaurants being built everywhere. My question is how does the community of this small town feel about all of us outsider's being here. Most speak Spanish and English. They are very nice to us outsiders. But i wonder how would i feel if this happened in my community. Which is about to happen to Nacogoches when the pipeline comes through. Will we welcome the increase in the people and the money they bring it will we resent it? This community has come from being a " ghost town" as the outsiders call it to being populated very quickly because of this pipeline. Maybe one day when I'm out I'll ask how they feel. Invaded or relieved and enjoying the growth and income this "ghost town" has received.
